Care Farm

Care Farm 1

Inclusive Farm Community

Our farm team brings together individuals and groups from a wide range of backgrounds. Members play an active and valued role in decision-making, including participation in the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Most existing team members attend between one and three days per week.

Care Farm 2

Supportive and Flexible Opportunities

We offer a supportive and inclusive environment. Those who feel they may benefit are encouraged to attend a taster session to explore what the farm has to offer. Opportunities are flexible and can be tailored to suit the needs of each individual or group, including developing new skills, building confidence, gaining qualifications, enhancing social interaction, and accessing meaningful work experience.

Care Farm 3

Hands-On Activities and Learning

Activities on the farm are varied and engaging. Team members can learn how to care for animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, hens, pigs, and alpacas. There are also opportunities to contribute to the upkeep of allotments, nursery gardens, and the wider environment. Additional activities include fishing, woodland walks, alpaca walks, and a diverse programme of indoor and outdoor workshops.

Accessibility and Inclusion

Accessibility is important to us. Wheelchair access is available in key areas including the art room, training rooms, kitchen, and barn (home to the rabbits and guinea pigs and a central workshop space), as well as parts of the allotments and fields. However, some areas of the farm are uneven and can be muddy. We are actively working to improve accessibility so that all team members can participate fully. For group bookings requiring fully accessible spaces, we can tailor activities accordingly.

Personal Care Support

Please note that we do not routinely provide personal care. If this is required, we recommend discussing your needs with us in advance, as you may need to attend with appropriate support.
